Swiped Transactions

We are now going to set up perform a swiped transaction, using the Pocket Spectrum.

 

 

 Again, we start from the main menu.

 

 SWIPE THE CREDIT CARD
Swipe from left to right, using a smooth, single motion. a single beep and flash of the red LED indicates a GOOD card read, a double beep and flash mean a BAD read.

 Indicating a good card read, the screen will immediately change so you can easily enter the amount to charge the credit card.

Enter the amount, in this example $24.95 Then press "OK"

 

 Now, you can see all of the credit card transaction.  Press OPTIONS to access the next actions.

 

 A this point we could store the transaction (if we were out of range) for later processing.  What we will do at this point is to select CHARGE.

 

 The software will now communicate with the transaction servers, and obtain an authorization.

 

 After a few seconds, you will receive your credit card approval! 

Select OK.

 

 

Select "Options"

 

 

 

 Select PRINT.
