Setup for Sprint Harrier / MDA2K
| Just
follow these simple steps to link the Pocket Spectrum Printer to your
Sprint Harrier or iMate MDA2K. Retire the wire!
STEP
1: Reset your Pocket Spectrum. |

Go
to Start > Settings, select the "Connections" tab at the
bottom, and then tap on the "Bluetooth" icon.
|
|
If
Bluetooth is off, turn it on, then tap on "Bluetooth Manager"
on the bottom of the screen.
|
|
Turn
on your Pocket Spectrum and tap on "New" at the bottom left.
|
|
Scroll
down, and select "Explore a Bluetooth Device"
|
|
Tap on the printer icon. |
|
When
asked for a Pass key enter 1000,
then tap OK
|
|
Select
"Serial Port", then tap on "Next"
|
|
It
will tell you that the shortcut has been created,
Tap on "Finish"
|
|
Pocket
PC will show you the completed connection and serial port.
NOTE: AT THIS POINT TURN THE CARD READER OFF, WAIT A MINUTE, THEN TURN IT BACK ON. |

Open Pocket Verifier Software and
Log On, then tap
on "Options
|

Choose
Pocket Spectrum in Options Screen

Select
"Com Port"
|
|
Change Com
Port to
6
in Settings menu (The default Bluetooth connection for Sprint devices is on Com Port 6 . Your Pocket PC may differ. See the Using Bluetooth section in the manual that came with your Pocket PC for details.) For non-Sprint models: You can determine your COM port by using Start > Settings > Bluetooth > Services > Serial Port > Advanced THE OUTBOUND PORT IS THE ONE YOU WANT. The Inbound COM port has no use here. |

Tap
on "Settings", then select "Port Settings"
|

Change
the COM settings to 38400,N,8,1
|

Your
Harrier is now setup to work with our Pocket Verifier software.
