New merchant account program a boon to small / home businesses and startups.

Fullerton, CA (August 12, 2001) Advanced Merchant Solutions Inc., the creators of MerchantAnywhere.com initially developed this merchant account program for use with their Palm and Pocket PC wireless credit card verifiers, but small businesses and startups are catching on.

Their Quick Start Program allows new businesses and startups to establish a real, fully functional credit card merchant account without the high start up costs usually associated with them. Traditionally, merchant account providers charged a fee for application, startup, or cancellation, and paid a portion of that to the seller, or referrer of that business account. Since the Quick Start system was initially developed to be a part of a shrink-wrap package on the shelf, there was no need for these associated costs.

In addition to not charging application, setup and cancellation fees, there are also no gateway or statement fees associated with this account. All the user is charged is a flat rate of $24.95 per month, and 2.2 percent of each sale for Visa and MasterCard transactions. The processing center takes a 30-cent per transaction fee as well.

This merchant account can optionally allow the merchant to accept American Express and Discover, as well as Electronic Checks through ACH (Automated Clearing House). It is available to any small / home business with a U.S. business or personal checking account, no liens, judgments, or collections, and a computer with an internet connection. Unlike most software based systems, that charge additional fees for their multi-user applications, this system allows an unlimited number of internet connected computers to be used as merchant terminals.
