Swiped TransactionsWe are now going to set up perform a swiped transaction, using the Pocket Merchant. |

Again, we start from the main menu. |
|
The Credit Card Processing icon is in the upper left-hand quadrant. Tap on it. |
|
You will see the blank Credit Card Sale Screen, at this time: SWIPE THE CREDIT CARD |

Swipe from left to right, using a smooth, single motion. a single beep and flash of the red LED indicates a GOOD card read, a double beep and flash mean a BAD read. |

Indicating a
good card read, the screen will immediately change to a calculator style
keypad so you can easily enter the amount to charge the credit card.
Enter the amount, in this example $598.95 Then press "Accept" |

Now, you can see all of the credit card transaction. If you wish to enter a tip, tap the word "Tip:" on the screen, and another calculator pad will open up. Your tip will be added to the previously entered amount, and shown in "Total:" |

If you are using the on-screen signature capture option, you can have the customer sign now. |
|
Once signed, press "Charge" The little key in the button indicates that this is an encrypted transmission, and is totally safe. |

After a few seconds, you will receive your credit card approval! Tap the "Print" button. |

This screen
is a reminder to make sure your Pocket Spectrum is on. It will
automatically turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity, to conserve your
battery charge.
After the credit card receipt is printed, you will see this screen. Merchants who want two copies can tear off the printed receipt, and press "Yes" to get another. Merchants who used the signature capture and send, can just press "No"
