Retire the wire... with Bluetooth!
|
At last,
Real-time protection against "Pfishing" scams! We have
come across a FREE toolbar plugin for Internet Explorer that can help
protect you against the increasing threat of "Pfishing"
scams. Here is how it works: The toolbar resolves the actual
name of the site you are on, so if you click on an email from your Bank,
PayPal, or vendor, it will let you know if you are REALLY there,
or on a "spoof" site. We tried this with an email we
received last week:
Display when on a "Pfishing" site.

Display when on the real PayPal site.
As
you can see, the toolbar correctly identified the REAL PayPal site, as
well as the phony one, which was operating with just an IP
address. You can download this toolbar free at: www.corestreet.com/spoofstick/ .

With
Christmas approaching, we are getting a lot of last-minute requests
for e-commerce. With few exceptions, our highest recommendation
still goes to Kingcart.com. We have been using them for 2 years
now (our store is a King Cart store, although you cannot tell), and we
are still happy, and still paying only $10 per month (high volume stores
may be higher). You can try out KingCart for FREE, with
their 30 day trial. Most merchants can get 10 to 20 products
"up and selling" with KingCart, linked directly to their
MerchantAnywhere merchant account, in just 2 to 3 days! It
allows you to present "Real Time" UPS and FedEX pricing to
your customers, based on the weight (which you enter when you add the
products), your zip code, and the customer's zip code! You can
also apply a "formula" to the shipping calculations, to allow
for a percentage or dollar "add on" charge. Take
a look at their special offer here.

We are ABSOLUTELY impressed with the Treo 650. This one has it all! Not only
does it do everything that the 600 did, but the screen has DOUBLE the
resolution (actually 320 by 320 pixels, 4 times the amount of actual
pixels on the 600), and the screens are gorgeous. This little prize takes pictures, MOVIES, and more. I
want to get a BIG SD data
card, and replace my MP3 player, as the 650 does that too!

They
changed the connector on the bottom (again), so it will be a while
before we get cables for the Pocket Merchant, but the Bluetooth works
perfectly. The 650's Bluetooth verifies the connection every time you use
it, which alleviates the common problem on Pocket PC's where the
connection sometimes "disappears". Our
Pocket Spectrum works like a dream, and is easy to set up.

|
Pocket Spectrum uses a removable battery pack, and includes a
separate charger station.

You can purchase extra standard battery packs (800
mA) or even double-power battery packs (1600 mA)! Click
here!

The Pocket Spectrum is a true Line Printer (the paper moves
underneath a motionless head) , rated not in characters, but MILES of
paper in reliability (31 to be precise)! Powered by powerful,
replaceable Nickel - Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries, this printer literally
throws receipts out at up to 2 inches per second! Pocket Spectrum
has a larger paper roll then Pocket Merchant, a full 34 feet for 136
receipts per roll!
