Beware! there is a new email scam stating that "Your Paypal Account is about to Expire"  Watch out!  This is NOT from PayPal, and is only an attempt to get you to divulge your credit card and PayPal passwords to people who want to take your money!  Delete on sight!!!

KingCart users now have the ability to add the CVV2 verification to their online transactions.  CVV2 stands for Card Verification Value, and it is the three numbers on the back of the card, in the right-hand side of the signature panel on Visa, MasterCard, and Discover as seen below:

American Express has a similar feature, called CID, on the front of its cards.  
In order to implement this feature, it is necessary to make sure the link in your "Gateway Settings" is the new one, that contains: "webservices.primerchants" rather than the older "oc2net.net" location.  In addition, you need to select the "CHECK CVV2" checkbox.

  Important Fraud Information: While we feel most of our merchants already know this, we have received a large number of calls from prospective merchants who want to set up an account because they have made a large credit card sale to Indonesia.  While most companies would just sign them up and collect fees, we have worked with these prospective merchants, helped them investigate the potential transaction, and discovered in every case that these were fraudulent transactions- the merchant would have been ripped off, and responsible for the return of the funds!  We know how hard it is to turn down a sale, especially when it is one of the largest you have ever made, but if you receive a request for a BIG sale from Indonesia, and they want it NOW, and have a long story why they must use a credit card... beware!

Track your web site's popularity, and your competition's as well!  The Alexa toolbar for Microsoft Internet Explorer can give you full metrics on how popular your site is, how many pages of the average visitor views, and how long they stay!  AND ITS FREE TOO!  Another advantage it has, is that BLOCKS ALL THOSE POP-UP ADS as well.  In addition, Alexa's Related Links are a great way to discover new sites. As you surf the web, the toolbar is constantly updating with information about where other users visit ( a great research aid, and it shows you all the competitors for every site you visit, including yours!)
