Recurring Payments can increase Sales!

Recurring billing can help merchants can make more sales!

Fraud Warning!  We have been alerted that there is a new scam we should all be aware of, as it can fool the AVS (Address Verification System), and allow a shipment to a fraudulent address!  It works on 3 facts:  1) The cardholder name is not verified by the processors.  2) AVS checks only the Numeric portion of the address (Street misspellings are too common), and the ZIP.  3) Web site order pages have an "Address 2" line for suite or apartment numbers.

  Here is how it works:
Assume that the VALID (Stolen) cardholder data is:

Name Jim Shoes
Address 1234 Main Street
CSZ Irvine, CA 92301

The Fraudster enters the order this way:

Name Fred Fraudster
Address 1234 Purchase Order
Address2 4534 West Carlisle Way
CSZ Irvine, CA 92301

Wow, AVS says the numeric portion of the address matches, as does the Zip code.  The delivery company will assume the first line is just a purchase order number, and will deliver to the address on line 2!  The fraudster could even enter a city and state in a different zip code, knowing most delivery services will "correct" the zip code if the delivery address is in the specified city and state!

What can I do to protect myself?  First, be glad you know about it, and then make sure you look at the "Address2" line of each and every order!  If it appears to be a deliverable address, beware!

Merchants with high-profit products can often spur additional sales by offering payment plans on their goods.  With an initial payment covering the costs, they can split the balance into 3, 6 or even 12 monthly payments, making it easier for customers to say yes to their products.

Merchants offering memberships are much better off charging monthly than annually.  Remember, if you charge an annual fee, the customer can initiate a chargeback even in the last months of their service!  Monthly billing reduces your exposure dramatically, and makes it more affordable to your customers.

Merchants performing services can also benefit by offering payment plans to their customers, often tying it in with "extended service" or "premium warranties" on their services.

Entering the proper charge for the proper person every day can be tedious.  That is why TCR (Transaction Central Recurring) was developed.  Just enter each customer ONCE, and TCR will automatically bill each customer the proper amount on the right day, until the number of payments is reached, or you tell it to stop!

  Using TCR is simple, as it is an extension of the Transaction Central interface you are using now!  After entering a sale, you have the option of transferring the card information to a recurring payment, or you can just enter a recurring payment directly.  You can select the billing cycle;

as well as the number of payments to process (if you want to process the payments indefinitely until you stop it manually, just enter zero).

Where can you find someone to enter all your recurring transactions and back up your transactions and billing files every day for only ten bucks per month?  Even Kathy Lee can't get work done that cheap, but you can!  TCR will do all this, and give you reports as well!  Click here for more information, and the form to add TCR (Transaction Central Recurring) to your account now!  Start multiplying your business, and increasing your sales.
