The Dangers of Outsourcing. We get calls from development houses in India
from time to time, and we tell them that all of our software technology is
developed in the U.S.A. and will stay that way forever. Some companies
have to learn the hard way... US credit card giant Capital One pulled out of
India after unauthorized credit levels were offered to customers by Indian
call center operators. Newspaper reports in the UK have referred to organized
gangs offering a year's wages to foreign call center staff in return for
access to US and UK credit card details.

A true Line Printer (the paper moves
underneath a motionless head) , rated not in characters, but MILES of

Spectrum has a larger paper roll then Pocket Merchant, a full 34 feet
for 136 receipts per roll!
Pocket Spectrum uses a removable battery pack,
and includes a separate charger station. 
PalmOne announced the Treo 650 this week, They say they
will offer it with 4 accessories. They had better, as they changed
the connector AGAIN, and none of the accessories you have, or that
are currently on the market will work! The good news is that there
will probably be a major price reduction on the 600's in the coming
weeks! The 650 has replaceable batteries, and a double resolution
screen, but you will not see Treo applications taking advantage of this
screen for a few weeks to a few months (we will have a high-res version
as soon as we get our beta unit).
