Reference:

All of these units work with our award winning Pocket Verifier technology, and most require only a different $10 cable change for your Pocket Merchant!  (Nextel is the only exception)  We have keyed the list to let you know about the availability and differences among the different units:

[N] CENTRO NOTE: The Centro has the same OS as the Treos, and works fine with the Pocket Merchant.  Early Centros had some problems, but later models are now stable.  Try one out in the store before you buy, as the phone is very small, and some people have a problem with the keyboard.

[1] No longer available from the supplier, you can pick them up on eBay.
[2] Uses the Microsoft Pocket PC operating system.
[3] Uses the Symbian operating system.
[4] Requires Pocket Spectrum Bluetooth-based reader and printer.
  [5] Recommended highly by AMSI
[6] Uses nSwipe Reader, cannot use Pocket Merchant
[7] NOT recommended, will not be supported in 2005
[8] No touch screen, cannot capture signature

This list is by no means complete.  There are dozens of high-end and esoteric devices that work great with our software, from Sony Ericsson, Symbol, Samsung, Siemens, Nokia, and others.  This list comprises the most popular and easiest to use devices, with a minimum of investment.
